Position: General Manager, Operations, Quality & P&L – Mediterranean Region

Salary: €65,000.00 – €73,000/year + discretionary Bonus + benefits

Sector Experience: Fashion Textile or Manufacturing Textile

Location: Hybrid/Remote (Marrakesh, Morocco)

My client, a global alliance of quality management specialists in specific product categories that enables customers to meet their compliance goals, while managing risk and identifying disruption for growth, is looking for an experienced General Manager, Operations, Quality & P&L covering the Mediterranean Region which includes 8-10 countries.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L management:

• Maintain net contribution at target level
• Control costs (direct, indirect)
• Improve profitability
• Optimize production costs through structural changes and automation
• Implement systems to increase productivity
• Save costs in non-efficient areas
• Secure and optimize middle management

Operations management:

• Maximize utilization ratio
• Enable better planning via anticipation, team training, and automation of scheduling
• Maximize efficiency of inspections and audits
• Centralize contract and due diligence management
• Train and upskill field teams and middle management
• Enable operations to participate in customer meetings and reviews

Performance of field and back-office teams:

• Improve customer satisfaction by reducing claims and complaints
• Maintain claims ratio below 0.2%
• Ensure smooth onboarding for new clients including kickoff meetings, SOP validations

Expertise development:

• Transition inspectors from QC to QA to QE
• Develop learning journey and qualification with technical teams
• Develop category expertise aligning with sales and lab strategies
• Implement technical audit expert team

Contribution to business growth:

• Create solutions supporting sourcing and supplier management
• Develop value-added services
• Reinforce fast to market audits
• Introduce services based on customer challenges and field knowledge

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English; French highly preferred
• Experience in a quality inspection leadership role internationally
• Worked in Fashion or Manufacturing Textile industry
• Solid knowledge of inspection/audit practices, customer service, and P&L management
• Understanding of global trends in softline industries
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Strong leadership guiding regional teams
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced/international education preferred
